The symptoms of flu include onset of fever, headaches, aches and pains and coughing/sneezing - but can also cause death particularly to those at risk (Influenza claimed the lives of 1,255 Australians in 2017). Side effects of flu vaccine can include pain, swelling, minor allergic reactions and mild symptoms of the flu though the benefits of vaccination far outweigh these side effects.
A flu vaccination - or 'flu jab' - simply involves having an injection, given into the upper arm by a nurse or doctor and only takes a few seconds and is available at CBD Doctors Melbourne.

How much will it cost?
Medicare Card Holders:
The consultation for Medicare card holders is bulk-billed, the only cost payable is for the flu vaccine (unless you are entitled to a free vaccination through the Victorian Government).
Patients Without Medicare:
There is a private consultation fee plus the cost for the flu vaccine. If you have private health your consultation may be covered by your health insurance. You will need to check with them to see if your consultation is covered. Please note there will be a private fee for the vaccination.
Do you do group bookings for Employers / Companies ?
We provide group booking for employers or companies. If you are looking to have your staff vaccinated, please email reception@cbddocs.com.au or complete the inquiry form below. Please state the number of employees required to be vaccinated. Please ensure you leave your contact details.
On-Site or Off-Site Services: We can arrange for the vaccinations to be done at your office or at our clinic—whichever is more convenient for you and your team.
